Responsibilities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team on research and development of Redwire's optics, camera, and baffle systems.
Develop test facilities and analysis tool required for optics performance verification.
Validate test concepts for Redwire developed optical solutions.
Work with verification and manufacturing test teams to turn concepts into working systems.
Use a first-principles approach to interpret and analyze physical systems.

Required
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 or more years' of experience or a Master's Degree and 0-2 years of experience in Physics or related field
Strong background in mathematics and physics as it pertains to light and refraction
Experience in design, engineering, and testing for engineering/physics applications
Hands-on skill in optical instrumentation and metrology
Experience with image sensors and sensor processing
Preferred
Understanding of advanced mathematics and its application in radiometric and optical systems
Understanding of the design and application of camera optics
Understanding of the principles around stray light rejection with baffle systems
Experienced with Matlab or Python
Strong communication and writing skills
