Responsibilities

Communicate with insureds, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, and other carriers via telephone & written correspondence
Communicate with internal personnel including legal and management
Take recorded statements
Make liability and coverage decisions based on conclusions of investigation
Issue payments
Maintain a pending and closing ratio of 100%
Establish and maintain reserves and payments
Present large loss report and communicate with manager as well as internal and external customers
Review and interpret estimates
Manage difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs

Perform other duties as assigned

Auto claims experienceMultiple state adjuster licensesBasic algebra calculationsBasic geometry calculationsTime management skills

Required

5+ years auto claims experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Basic computer knowledge and skills
Multiple state adjuster licenses
Superb written and verbal communication skills conducted in a timely manner with diverse audiences
Superior time management skills with capability of working with and meeting deadlines
Exceptional capability to multi-task and prioritize with excellent organization and documentation skills in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Excellent team player with interpersonal skills
High level attention to detail with ability to utilize decision making and problem-solving skills
Capable of working collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision
Exhibit discretion with sensitive and confidential information
Display a comfort level working with key people at all levels within an organization
Understands policies and strong reading, writing skills
Excellent organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills
Strong negotiation skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
