Responsibilities

Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, disposition and settle multi-line or auto claims, to determine legal liability, damages, and coverage.
Communicate with insureds, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, and other carriers via telephone & written correspondence.
Communicate with internal personnel including legal and management.
Take recorded statements.
Make liability and coverage decisions based on conclusions of investigation.
Issue payments.
Maintain a pending and closing ratio of 100%.
Establish and maintain reserves and payments.
Review and interpret estimates.
Manage difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required

4+ years auto claims experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Communicate with insureds, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, and other carriers via telephone & written correspondence
Communicate with internal personnel including legal and management
Take recorded statements
Make liability and coverage decisions based on conclusions of investigation
Issue payments
Maintain a pending and closing ratio of 100%
Establish and maintain reserves and payments
Review and interpret estimates
Manage difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs
Perform other duties as assigned
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organizational, planning and multi-tasking skills
Ability to manage complex claims at every angle including, coverage, damage analysis, experts, reserving, subrogation and risk transfer
Ability to prepare detailed reports and recommendations to clients
Ability to analyze and research legal and claim trends
Ability to understand policies and strong reading, writing skills
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to review and interpret estimates
Basic computer knowledge and skills required
