Responsibilities

Focus on the overall plant production system and bridge the gap between various departments within the plant and corporate.

Assist maintenance with breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Learn to maintain and troubleshoot plant equipment.

Drive process and control system improvements in collaboration with Corporate Engineering and equipment vendors.

Utilize and enhance the Realtime Process Monitoring system to support process control initiatives.

Ensure proper maintenance and archiving of system documentation and software.

Provide training and mentorship to plant maintenance personnel.

Follow engineering electrical control and programming standards.

Work on projects aimed at improving quality, reliability, reducing waste, and enhancing productivity.

Required

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred, but will consider candidates with significant industry experience

3-5 years job related experience

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Broad electromechanical skills and experience

Proficient with PLCs, AC/DC motors, drives, robotics, sensors, software and control systems in general

Siemens and Allen Bradley automation software and hardware experience. Eager to learn new software platforms

Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology: Statistical process control, DMAIC process (Six Sigma), and/or willingness/aptitude to learn

Collaborative project management from design through installation
