Responsibilities

Commission customized automation solutions, maintain, and fault find marine automation/control systems.
Learn the latest industrial solutions and collaborate with designers to test, commission, solve, and update integrated system drawings.
Plan workload and specific tasks efficiently to ensure timely completions.
Provide direct technical support to customers from requests in case management system.
Manage Remote connection system to customer sites.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field is preferred with 5+ years of experience in Marine or a related industry, which is required.
Hands on PLC/SCADA experience with a background in Automation / Control System Solution Design or Service/Commissioning is required.
Familiarity with North American and international codes and standards, OSHA, and safety and lock-out / tag-out procedures is required.
Motivated and passionate about the role, with strong organization and communication skills.
Must be willing to travel (mostly domestic with some international travel for training) to other Siemens Energy and customer facilities (up to 80%).
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Preferred

Marine, Drilling or Offshore production working experience.
Variable Frequency Drive Systems experience
Siemens Automation hands on experience (S7, TIA, PCS7)
