Responsibilities

Design and Development : Taking a lead role in architecting, designing, and developing embedded software for IVHM products, ensuring adherence to GE's stringent processes and the DO-178C standard, which is crucial for aviation software safety and certification.
Continuous Integration and Testing : Overseeing continuous software integration and testing processes to ensure software quality and reliability.
Problem-Solving : Identifying software failures and implementing effective solutions, thereby ensuring the robustness of IVHM solutions.
Mentorship : Acting as a mentor and resource for less experienced team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.

Required

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
At least 6 years of experience in embedded software development.
A minimum of 2 years working specifically with DO-178C software development processes and certification standards.
At least 2 years of experience in C coding.
Due to the sensitive nature of the work, this position is open only to U.S. citizens, with GE requiring proof of status prior to employment.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Preferred

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, coupled with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
The ability to lead both global and virtual teams.
Proficiency in project management, encompassing cost, schedule, earned value, scope, and risk management.
Experience with DO-178C DAL B.
