Responsibilities

Technical Specialist serves as SME for AASHTOWare Project software, analyzes data, creates User Stories, engineering/re-engineering current/future processes, develops SQL queries, XML interface changes, works as part of a SCRUM team to deliver software.

This position will be serving as a Technical Specialist/Expert SME for AASHTOWare Project's Preconstruction, Civil Rights and Labor, and Data Analytics modules and responsible for defining User Stories Client software implementation and enhancement request.

Individuals should have strong general knowledge of application development and architecture principals, and knowledge of AWP modules/products.

They are responsible for ensuring team comprehension of technical and functional concepts to support working with the development team and Preconstruction Product Manager.

Work will include documenting client User Stories specific to client Bidding and Letting business processes using AWP software, but may also work on User Stories with other AWP Modules as needed.

This position will perform this work by developing Use Cases, Test Cases, Test Scripts, UX modifications using XML, reporting using SQL, in an Agile/DevOps software development team.

This position will be responsible for software quality for new enhancements as assigned, ensuring the highest possible quality outputs and reducing technical debt through adherence to AWP implementation Best Practices and Standards provided by AASHTO and its vendor.
