Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure that leverage Kubernetes, Istio, Rancher, and other relevant technologies.

Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform for efficient resource provisioning and management.

Implement and manage service mesh architectures to enhance microservices communication, security, and observability.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure best practices for cloud architecture, security, and governance.

Evaluate and recommend new cloud services, tools, and frameworks to optimize performance and reduce costs.

Conduct architecture reviews and provide guidance on design patterns and best practices.

Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance.

Stay current with Azure updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies related to cloud architecture and containerization.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.

Proficiency in container orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes.

Experience with service mesh architectures, including Istio and Rancher.

Strong knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code implementation.

Experience with CI/CD practices and tools for cloud-native applications.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Security clearance.

Preferred

Azure certification (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) is highly desirable.

Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.

Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.

Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor).

Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Federal Experience is a plus.
