Responsibilities
Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining corporate systems and software
Ensure that proposed and existing systems architectures are aligned with organizational goals, objectives, and architectural best-practices
Provide technical expertise, direction, and assistance to Build teams implementing strategic projects
Chair the Architecture Review Board, maintain its agenda and call to order meetings. Ensure meetings are documented and follow-ups are carried out
Participate in the technical review sessions and develop, document, communicate and enforce a policy for standardizing systems and software
Set forth technical standards for IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Software Development teams
Collaborate with development teams to design and implement cloud-native applications and microservices
Design and document cloud architectures, including network, compute, storage, and application layers
Review new and existing systems design projects and procurement or outsourcing plans for compliance with standards and architectural plans
Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, including risk assessments and vulnerability management.
Lead role in the effort to document the company’s existing systems architecture and technology portfolio; make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.
Model business and systems processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models.
Assist in developing assessments to check infrastructure and systems technical performance, and adherence to standards Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, and 10 years’ experience in at least two disciplines such as solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, database management or operations in a multitier environment - or equivalent combination of education and experience
6+ years of experience with solution architecture in Microsoft Azure Public Cloud
Ready to think, behave and act in an innovative consulting manner to drive the organization’s digital business strategies
Ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
Able to balance the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions and organization goals
Subject matter expert on software development, coding best practices, systems integrations, middleware technologies, and API design
Broad knowledge of IT Infrastructure and modern Cloud computing with strong knowledge of security principles and practices
Understanding of various operating models such as project-centric and product-centric and different types of agile principles, methodologies and frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills
Highly self-motivated and directed
Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment
Current certification of Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Preferred
Certifications in Cybersecurity and other areas of Information Technology a plus
