Responsibilities

Primarily manages bankruptcy routine matters

Draft and review all pleadings and claims filed in the particular matter

Attends scheduled hearings

Responds to general firm wide bankruptcy inquiries

Review filings on behalf of the clients

Monitoring of all electronic filings (ECFs)

Resolving routine bankruptcy matters such as Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, Proofs of claim, etc.

Regular communication with the client, opposing counsel and the Court

2+ years’ experience in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases

Working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure

License To Practice Law In New York

Knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general Creditor Rights laws

Computer Literacy

Professionalism

Keyboard Skills

Attention to detail

Time Management

Communication Skills

Law degree – JD

Barred in New York

Preferred

Admittance to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in New York
