Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations of group benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), etc.)
Assist employee with benefit inquiries and issues, providing prompt and accurate responses
Coordinate with benefits vendors to ensure smooth administration of benefits
Assist with the annual open enrollment process, including planning, communication, and execution
Develop and deliver employee communication materials related to open enrollment, ensuring clarity and understanding
Conduct enrollment meetings, webinars, and one-on-one sessions as needed to assist employees in making informed benefit choices
Analyze and compile data from open enrollment to report on trends and participation rates.
Analyze benefits data to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for cost savings
Prepare and present detailed reports on benefits usage, enrollment statistics, and financial impact
Ensure benefits data integrity across systems by performing regular audits and reconciliations
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA)
Maintain accurate documentation and records to support audits and legal compliance
Stay current with changes in benefits legislation and recommend necessary plan adjustments
Serve as a liaison between the organization and benefits vendors, resolving issues and ensuring service level agreements are met
Assist in the evaluation and selection of benefits vendors and plans
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of benefits administration
Provide recommendations for plan design changes based on employee feedback and market trends
Special projects as needed

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field experience
2-5 years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role
Strong understanding of employee benefits programs and related laws and regulations
Proven experience managing open enrollment projects
Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration software
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail
Must live in Houston Texas to be considered for this role
