Responsibilities
Provide oversight and recommendations for the design and administration of a wide range of benefit offerings (healthcare, life insurance, disability, retirement, etc.).
Lead strategic benefits planning, addressing areas like budgets, vendor contracts, compliance, and system enhancements.
Research market trends and analyze program performance to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and better value for employees.
Partner with external benefits consultants and vendors to optimize plan offerings and ensure they meet the company’s needs.
Manage the full open enrollment process, including communication strategy, planning, and coordination of employee information sessions and elections.
Oversee the company's retirement program, working closely with the finance team on investment strategy and employee communications.
Develop wellness initiatives to promote health and well-being for employees and their families.
Stay current on relevant regulations and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
Ensure benefit programs are administered with accurate financial controls and proper documentation.
Collaborate with HRIS and Payroll teams to maintain systems supporting benefits administration.

Required
A strategic mindset with the ability to design programs that align with broader business objectives.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in MS Excel.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, particularly when managing complex data.
Comfortable working in an evolving environment and handling ambiguity.
A collaborative team player with a positive, solution-focused attitude.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and work within a rapidly changing environment.
Self-starter with a high level of persistence and strong results focus.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
At least 10 years of experience in HR, with a minimum of 5 years in benefits management.
In-depth knowledge of multi-state benefit regulations and compliance (HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, etc.).
Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion in benefits programs.
Strong project management and collaborative skills.
Preferred
Certification is a plus.
