Responsibilities

Responsible for working in partnership with Department of Child Safety to coordinate placement for children in foster care.
Partners with resource family specialists and supervisors statewide to maintain current list of licensed homes with available bed space.
Receives, monitors, and responds to placement requests from Department of Child Safety and the agency's resource family specialists.
Assess and match needs of children with strengths of available families.
Compiles and submits daily and monthly reports
Communicate with families to assess needs and obtain other pertinent information.
Uses necessary means of communication to maintain accessibility to Department of Child Safety and resource families i.e. telephone, email, etc.
Safely and effectively monitor client activities.

Required

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years related experience in the child welfare or behavioral health field OR Master's degree and less than 2 years of related experience
Relevant Degree includes the following degrees: Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling and Child Development. Other degrees may be considered with at least 20 Credit hours from an accredited university in the previously referenced degree specialty.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Must be 21 years of age (licensing requirement).
Possess a valid Arizona driver's license and be insurable under the agency's automobile policy.
Must be able to provide own transportation to and from clients' homes and/or other relevant organizations/agencies.
Must be able to provide DPS fingerprint clearance.
Must be able to meet training and agency compliance requirements for the position.
An individual may qualify for this position if the individual is able to 'perform safely' the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
