Responsibilities
Review claim responses from payers including denials and taking appropriate next steps.
Prepare appeal packets utilizing patient medical records and documentation supporting medical necessity.
Follow up with payers for claim status.
Utilize RCM software and payer websites to identify claim status.
Prepare and submit medical records to payers as required.
Provide regular reporting to RCM leadership.
Prepare and follow up on appeals to payers as necessary.
Adheres to Code of Conduct as outlined in the Baylor Genetics Compliance Program
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required
High School Diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years in revenue cycle management for healthcare provider.
Experience with all payer groups and plans.
Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 and payer claim requirements.
Preferred
BA in Business preferred.
Specific experience with laboratory RCM a plus.
