Responsibilities

Oversee the integration of billing processes across multiple product lines into a unified system to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely invoicing.
Identify opportunities to enhance billing operations through process optimizations, automation, and system upgrades.
Lead and develop a diverse team of billing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Work closely with internal teams such as Finance, Sales, and Customer Success to align billing processes with business goals.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606) and maintain accurate revenue recognition processes.
Act as an escalation point for complex billing inquiries and disputes, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions.
Provide detailed reporting on billing, collections, and revenue trends to inform strategic decisions.
Manage billing tools and platforms, including subscription management systems and ERP software.
Establish and enforce consistent billing policies and procedures to support operational efficiency and compliance.
Lead audits and reconciliation efforts to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Develop and monitor KPIs and SLAs to measure and improve billing performance.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in billing operations, including managing billing processes across multiple products or services.
A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role with proven success in managing and developing diverse teams.
Experience in SaaS billing processes, subscription models, and multi-product billing.
Proficiency with Salesforce and NetSuite.
Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively collaborate across departments.
Advanced problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and adeptness in using various financial systems.

Preferred

Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience in public safety or governmental industries.
