Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for billing inquiries from patients, clients, and payors
Communicate estimated out-of-pocket costs to patients and assist them in understanding their financial responsibilities
Review and ensure accuracy of patient statements and qualify patients for financial assistance as needed
Document patient interactions and decisions in case notes accurately
Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, or text, providing one-call resolution for billing-related issues

Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of CPT codes, medical terminology, insurance plans, and ICD 10 codes
Minimum of 1+ years’ experience as a customer service agent or in a similar role
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude when interacting with patients
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and demonstrate good judgment
Preferred
2+ years’ experience in a clinical laboratory, especially in genetic testing
