Responsibilities

Works with the Chief Executive Director/CEO to set strategic direction for FAN4Kids, ensure effective long-range planning, identify annual strategic priorities; and assess FAN4Kids’ performance in achieving the strategic direction.
Selects, supports and assesses the CEO
Ensures alignment of Fan4Kids services and financial resources align with the mission and strategic direction of the organization
Ensure accountability, legal and ethical integrity of the board
Supports the composition of the board, including recruitment of new board members, when needed
Ensures financial controls, including oversight over the organizational budget, annual independent audit, regular internal financial reporting and sound decision making
Serves as an organizational ambassador, with a willingness to speak on behalf of the organization and leverage your personal and professional networks to increase visibility to support Fan4Kids goals
Prepares for, attends and is an active participant quarterly (4) Board meetings annually
Plus monthly 30-minute check-in calls in months without Board meetings
Serves on a minimum of (1) board committee, which include a finance, governance, development, and executive committee.
Provide a give / get of $3,000. The Fan4Kids development committee and staff heavily support the “get” with periodic events and fundraisers in which Board members are able to participate.

Required

Mission-oriented individuals
Experience in finance, fundraising, social media and public relations expertise
Ability to work with the Chief Executive Director/CEO to set strategic direction for FAN4Kids
