Responsibilities
Guide and support the Board to ensure cohesion and effectiveness in fulfilling MAMA HOPE's mission and goals.
Lead and participate in fundraising efforts, leveraging personal and professional networks to secure resources and encouraging Board engagement in these activities.
Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to drive and monitor the organization's strategic direction.
Ensure efficient management and protection of the organization's resources.
Chair all Board meetings, set agendas, and contribute to the further development of the Board.
Participate in strategic planning, events, and community engagement activities.

Required
Experience in organizational development and strategic planning.
Strong fundraising background with the ability to engage networks for fundraising.
Alignment with MAMA HOPE's values and understanding of ethical storytelling and locally-led development.
Willingness to actively participate in MAMA HOPE’s work and board meetings.
Preferred
Experience in African or Central American contexts.
Understanding of the global development sector.
Connections to media and/or experience with advocacy and campaigning.
Experience in good governance practices and a desire to innovate in creating change.
Experience in mobilizing funds.
