Responsibilities

Monitor, operate, and maintain high pressure steam boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, deaerators, surge tanks, feed water systems, and steam and chilled water distribution.

Ensure knowledge of chemical treatment systems and central plant DDC control system operation.

Obtain and maintain a current Stationary Engineer’s license within the second year of employment.

Required

At least five years of experience in a large complex Central Plant

Experience supporting specialized facilities such as hospitals

Experience with over 500 boiler horsepower

Experience with high pressure steam heating capacity

Experience with 400 tons centrifugal chiller produced cooling capacity

Experience in monitoring, operating, and maintaining high pressure steam boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, deaerators, surge tanks, feed water systems, and steam and chilled water distribution

Knowledge of chemical treatment systems

Knowledge of central plant DDC control system operation

Possession or obtainment within the second year of employment of a current Stationary Engineer’s license from a city, state, or nationally recognized entity, such as National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers (NIULPE) First Class Engineer or equivalent
