Responsibilities

Support the brand marketing team’s efforts in leading the writing and editing of impactful stories across event and stewardship emails, press releases, donor thank you emails, autoresponders, website copy, registration, fundraising software copy, fundraising and training guides, ‘how-tos’ and toolkits, press releases, social media copy, event scripts/run of shows, letters of support, etc.
Support storytelling pieces such as blogs, thriver stories, mission moments, press releases
Liaise with copy editor as needed
Assist with peer-to-peer and community event engagement and communications
Submit drafted emails for teammates to build
Copy support for organic social media and paid media channels
Maintain and continue the development of library of images, videos, logos, key talking points documents and stories to make them easily discoverable among all V Foundation team members.
Support the Assistant Director of Project Management on key project management deliverables and plans as needed.
Work with internal graphic designers to create digital and printed materials - posters, postcards, email headers, shirts, fundraising rewards, swag items, etc. to support Signature Events communications.
Source purchasing of branded items - fundraising rewards, swag and stewardship items.
Represent the brand team in internal content meetings and marketing / PR agency meetings as needed.
Assist in the development of key messaging and media talking points documents.
Collaborate with direct marketing and technology teams for email and social media calendar support, reporting and website edits.
Support agency relationships – setting timelines, establishing goals, managing budgets and tracking success.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related discipline.
1-3 years of communication, marketing, or content development experience.
Background in nonprofit environment a plus as well as working alongside agencies.
Innovative thinker, self-starter and creative problem solver.
Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
Strong planning, project management and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to take initiative and work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment - handling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
