Responsibilities
Demonstrate a strong technical background and broad experience in preliminary and detailed design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls and other transportation structures.
Provide technical support during the construction phase of projects, including site inspections and administration.
Preparation of drawings for projects and assignments of varying complexity and scope in accordance with standards such as AASHTO, Caltrans design procedures, and Caltrans Standard Specifications.
Function in a supportive technical role in both conventional and alternative delivery bridge projects across the state.
Lead multi-discipline bridge projects for public sector clients and manage/mentor staff.
Develop and prepare proposals focusing on existing relationships within Caltrans Districts and be the Primary Client Manager for various transportation agencies.
Present and assist at public presentations on technical/design issues.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required from an engineering program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc (EAC/ABET)
10-15 years of structural design/management experience in bridges and specialty structures; Design-Build experience is a plus
Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in California
