Responsibilities
Under supervision, prepares and reviews various financial reports and forms.
Assists in the preparation of the divisional/departmental annual budget.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
Prepares and reviews various financial reports and forms associated with grant requirement adherence.
Ensure proper coding of financial documents for the processing of requisitions, travel authorization forms, anticipated expense forms, expense forms and contracts.
Complete voucher payment forms for monthly mileage, travel advances, mandatory travel registration, contract payments and appropriate purchases.
Prepare and submit documentation/report for LOCCs draw.
Input financial data into database to track and maintain the processing of financial documents, which includes contracts and payments.
Monitors the status of purchases and payments using the City’s accounting system.
Document the receipt of funds in accordance with City and Grant policies.
Prepare monthly status reports to Budget Manager.
Maintain financial records with supporting documentation for match and leverage.
Ensure financial documents are available for review by internal and external auditors.
Assists in the preparation of the divisional/departmental annual program budget.
Process invoices for payment as received.
Prepares receiving warrants for daily cash/check/ACH deposits.
Reconciles general ledgers with daily program income receipts.
Performs other job-related duties as required.

Required
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business/Public Administration or closely related field from a four year accredited college or university is required.
Two years of full time paid experience in Finance or Accounting is preferred. (Substitution: Two years of full time experience may be substituted for each year of college education lacking.)
Must be knowledgeable in computer skills.
Preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are preferred.
Strong analytical skills and must be detail oriented.
Three years experience developing and managing financial budgets are preferred.
Knowledge of the City financial and accounting procedures and policies.
Must be able to lift and carry thirty (30) pounds.
