Responsibilities

Cooperating with field and regional offices, advising program personnel in the process of annually submitting complete program budgets.
Writing capability statements, budget narratives, and press release statements and support of the President's annual budget message.
Preparing budget documents and schedules for inclusion in annual budget estimates.
Developing various forecasts for management review to promote efficient and maximum use of available funds.
Preparing recurring and non-recurring special studies for use by senior leadership throughout the budget cycle.

Required

U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
Suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation
Submit a resume and supporting documentation
Submit eligibility documents for veterans consideration
Meet any minimum education and/or experience requirements
Submit transcript(s) to verify education requirements
Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level for GS-07
Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level for GS-09
Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level for GS-11
Experience in budget administration, trend analysis, review of costs, program forecast reports, advising on budget formulation, and monitoring financial transactions
Education requirements at different GS levels (graduate level education, master's degree, Ph.D., LL.B., J.D., LL.M.)
Superior academic achievement provision for GS-07 level positions
Experience includes paid and unpaid work, volunteer work, and National Service programs
Meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements by a specified date
Serve an initial probationary period
Eligibility for benefits depends on the type of position and employment status
