Responsibilities

Deliver results - Collaborate with Business and Operational units to systematically collect and analyze requirements pertaining to critical business processes, then design and build the solutions for these needs.

Manage and optimize our automation platforms - Take charge of our workload automation platform, ensuring its efficient operation and leveraging it to automate complex workflows across various engineering teams.

Enhance integration and support for engineering teams - Work closely with engineering teams to fully integrate the automation tools into their workflows. Provide ongoing support and training to maximize their efficiency and effectiveness in using the automation platform.

Develop and implement internal automations - Identify opportunities for process improvements within the organization and use your expert skills to develop automations and the necessary internal tooling to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.

Monitor and improve system health with data-driven insights - Continuously monitor the automation platform through advanced data visualization tools; analyze performance metrics to ensure optimal functionality and proactively address any system issues.

Required

3+ years of proven experience supporting, managing, and implementing workload automation platforms and processes

Proven experience designing and implementing scheduling workflows using automation tools (Tidal, Airflow, etc…) to streamline business processes

3+ years of software development experience, including experience working with and developing REST APIs

Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams in capturing scheduling requirements and converting them into robust, scalable automation solutions

Demonstrated experience and understanding of database management and experience with MSSQL and/or NoSQL databases for backend automation system support

Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Ruby to create and maintain automation scripts

Exceptional troubleshooting and critical thinking skills, with a proven ability to identify and resolve issues within complex, distributed systems

Advanced OS troubleshooting skills (Linux and Windows)

A quick learner, comfortable with adopting new technologies and tools as required by project demands

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar field
