Responsibilities

Accelerate growth and increase lifetime value of our relationships with new and emerging biotechs, meeting or exceeding Goal Tree metrics for success.
Actively engage new customers by bringing to bear existing relationships to develop influential connections and identify new partnership opportunities.
Act as the primary point of contact to streamline the customer experience, engaging divisional colleagues as necessary.
Translate deep customer insights into meaningful partnership opportunities that deliver value to both our customers and Thermo Fisher.
Lead the AMTs in demonstrating our wide range of capabilities to craft innovative, science- and customer-focused solutions for territory and account strategy.
Develop strong, influential relationships with a wide network of internal and external collaborators, enabling our divisional colleagues to connect with customers.
Work closely with customers and industry organizations to develop a deep understanding of focus technology areas and organizational imperatives, as well as the competitive landscape.
Act as the primary interface between our strategic partners and Thermo Fisher, sourcing new needs/opportunities and supporting resolution of critical issues.
Formulate and recommend pricing strategies and negotiate complex deal structures.
Build a successful, inclusive, and trustworthy work environment that fosters our 4i values.

Required

B.Sc. degree in a Life Science major.
Minimum of 5 years in an account management or business development position within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, contract research or laboratory supply sectors.
Experience working within a matrix environment and driving alignment on a common purpose despite occasionally competing/conflicting interests.
Strong understanding of business and financial competence, including knowledge of the drivers, dynamics, and trade-offs of the P&L.
Deep and sincere passion for crafting an inclusive, encouraging, and collaborative team environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and similar programs.
Positive attitude and resiliency to changing business environments.
High level of motivation and ability/willingness to spend significant time on site at customer locations.
Travel 0-25%.

Preferred

An MBA or professional business education is highly desirable.
Experience in a life science laboratory is preferred.
Equivalent experience in a scientific field such as biology, biochemistry, or molecular biology.
