Responsibilities
Provide clear work direction and guidance to staff, aligning their efforts with both tactical and strategic objectives of the department.
Elevate team performance by sharing industry best practices and promoting continuous learning and development.
Oversee the selection, onboarding, and coaching of team members to ensure professional growth and alignment with organizational goals.
Clearly define job requirements and performance goals, effectively communicating Medical Center initiatives, priorities, standards, and policies.
Lead and guide team members in the successful execution of technology initiatives, projects, and programs.
Collaborate across departments to plan, implement, and evaluate services, fostering an environment of teamwork and innovation.
Act as a key point of contact and decision-maker for escalations or issues impacting team deliverables.
Design, develop, and maintain systems and technologies that meet organizational and workforce needs while adhering to best practices and cost-effectiveness.
Recommend and implement policies and procedures to support efficient and secure systems usage.
Provide training and communication to ensure users are proficient and knowledgeable about system capabilities and updates.
Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or enhancements to maintain optimal functionality.
Assist with monitoring and managing the department's budget, identifying variances, and researching financial discrepancies.
Support tracking and allocation of expenses, generating reports, and providing insights into financial performance.
Research cost-effective solutions for major purchases and contribute to the annual budgeting process as needed.
Oversee projects, ensuring alignment with strategy, resource availability, and timeline commitments.
Develop comprehensive project plans that address resource allocation, scope, and day-to-day operational aspects.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, providing strategic input on application enhancements, upgrades, or solutions to maintain system currency.
Represent the team in departmental planning discussions, advocating resources, technology needs, and best practices.

Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
Preferred
Previous clinical experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is a plus.
Certification in Epic's Cogito Administration or relevant Epic certifications.
Proven experience in report development within the Epic reporting environment, including familiarity with Clarity or Caboodle.
Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations, including HIPAA, and the ability to ensure compliance in report development.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
Familiarity with Epic modules and their underlying data structures is highly desirable.
