Responsibilities
Recruit and train child care centers staff and family child care providers.
Conduct on-site monitoring reviews of child care centers and in-home reviews of family child care providers.
Provide technical assistance/customer service to child care centers and family child care providers to ensure they are claiming and meeting program requirements.
Review and process all required paperwork.
Monitor and process disallowances on monthly claims.
Train and support providers and center staff on the Minute Menu system.
Conduct and report outreach activities for child care centers and family child care providers.
Conduct and report center and provider resource distribution.
Maintain an organized electronic file for each child care center and family child care provider, including all required documents.
Develop and maintain appropriate community contacts to increase awareness of CACFP and bring additional resources to the program.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CACFP regulations of ODE, USDA, CHA, etc.; especially policies and procedure related to child care centers and family child care meal pattern requirements.
Complete and submit on time, accurate weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reports to Director of Child Care Centers and Family Child Care Manager.
Assist in the development of promotion, education, and program specific resources.
Participate in regional, state, and team meetings.
Follow Ohio law regarding reporting of cases of suspected child abuse/neglect.
All other duties as assigned.

Required
Associate’s Degree in Nutrition, Child Development/Early Childhood Education or 2 years relevant experience deemed appropriate; experience with structured child care programs and training preferred
Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License
Knowledge of USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program regulations
Knowledge of Child nutrition and child development
Knowledge of Early childhood education
Knowledge of Program implementation and evaluation
Highly effective communication and presentation skills-written and oral
Planning, organizing, prioritizing and time management skills; able to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups
Ability to use computer, including email, the Internet, and various software programs
Ability to use technology and innovative strategies to create effective nutrition education materials and train adults
