Responsibilities
Investigate, evaluate, and adjust workers’ compensation claims according to CA laws and CCMSI standards.
Establish and recommend reserves within authority levels.
Authorize and process payments for medical, legal, and damage-related expenses.
Negotiate settlements in line with corporate standards and state laws.
Coordinate with external vendors (legal, surveillance, case management) as needed.
Maintain accurate claim files and provide timely communication to clients and claimants.
Prepare detailed reports on claim status, payments, and reserves.
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and legal conferences.
Assist with client training sessions and claim reviews.

Required
5+ years of experience in California workers' compensation claims.
Deep technical knowledge of California workers' compensation regulations.
5+ years of California workers’ compensation adjusting experience required.
Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
CA Adjuster’s License (or ability to obtain one).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred
CA Self-Insurance Certification (SIP) preferred.
