Responsibilities
Calypso Hedge Accounting and Accounting experience.
SME also be required to configure rules, events, COAs, and exposure to a GL system.
No Java coding.
Calypso resource with experience in accounting module and surround activities.
Accounting background needs to be sound since we will be looking for this resource to help assist with activities such as Business Requirements, Advising configurations execute test cases, move the project along as core accounting team will be engaged in multiple other activities also.
Reporting and Business Process Redesign as it relates to Accounting processes for securities (such as fixed income, money market, interest rate derivatives etc.).
Derivatives lesser side as they are not using calypso for derivatives. Mostly Treasury, SBA, MM, Bonds.
Use calypso as a sub ledger for investments portfolio, feed that to main GL.
No Hedge accounting in calypso, other system being used. Some instruments that are hedged can go into Calypso.
Trial Balance features of calypso will be needed.
Business Process Review from manual to automated. STP. Few changes will be re-designed, controls will be another aspect of the project.
