Responsibilities

Collaborate cross-functionally with other scientists on validations, calibrations, testing, and overall scientific maintenance on various instruments.
Receive and accession samples into laboratory information management software (LIMS) and seed-to-sale compliance software.
Follow strict methodologies for sample extractions and analytical preparation duties for various assays.
Interpret QA/QC and sample result data using basic math and analytical skills.
Adhere to strict documentation guidelines while recording data and perform routine preventive maintenance on instruments and equipment.
Ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements through documentation, audits, and corrective actions.
Participate in the development of new SOPs and validations, and perform quality control procedures to ensure data accuracy.
Maintain an updated understanding and knowledge of laboratory methods and comply with legal requirements and standards.
Report concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance to the Compliance Officer and/or Laboratory Director.

Required

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Bachelor's degree in biological, chemical, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university is required.
Collegiate laboratory experience is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new computer applications is essential.
