Responsibilities
Create and edit schedules for nursing departments following hospital policies and guidelines.
Prepare accurate daily and shift work schedules in collaboration with nurse managers.
Approve or deny schedule requests based on skill mix and unit needs.
Balance and publish schedules to ensure unit efficiency and coverage.
Adjust schedules to accommodate needs by acquiring additional personnel or reducing staff.
Determine staffing needs within 24 hours of shift time and arrange appropriate coverage.
Manage unplanned shift vacancies and evaluate market staffing needs.
Maintain unit/department schedules within the electronic staffing system.
Approve or deny timecard requests and prepare timecards for manager approval.
Maintain staffing records, files, and reports, and assist with allocation of agency resources.

Required
2 years’ experience with staffing/scheduling software in a healthcare setting
Preferred
Associates Degree in Business, Data Management, or Related Field
