Responsibilities
Assist with administration and enforcement of local floodplain management regulations to minimize flood risks and ensure community compliance with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
Review and verify elevation certificates for accuracy and compliance with floodplain regulations.
Play a vital role in expediting the permitting process, focusing on projects in flood-prone areas, and ensuring alignment with FEMA and NFIP guidelines.

Required
Must already be certified as a Floodplain Manager (all state certifications considered)
Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education or experience in a related field
Knowledge of Florida building codes
Experience in using GIS software for identifying flood zones
Ability to interface with building contractors and homeowners
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred
Minimum 2 years of full-time floodplain management experience is preferred
