Responsibilities
Create and maintain Project Manager staffing plans. Ensures the team is adequately trained and staffed to manage the projects.
Accountable for the IT Portfolio processes, including project portfolio governance, project methodology framework, and Project Managers capacity management.
Ensure project management standards are being executed across the IT project portfolio.
Drive improvements into the PMO program and ensure industry best practices are leveraged.
Work with Project Managers to resolve any issues or concerns raised in their projects.
Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts.
Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed.
Assists program manager(s) in partnering with senior management of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise.
Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments; directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis; identifying resource needs; performing quality reviews; and escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately.
Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
Perform Project Manager supervision, including performance management and career development.

Required
Project management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is required. No certifications required if they have 10+ years of PM experience.
10 or more years of IT project management experience with leadership responsibility.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in agile project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques.
Preferred
Excellent planning, organization, and project management skills in an Application Development Environment with the ability to prioritize and coordinate many different project tasks while setting appropriate goals and deadlines.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others to perform well while effectively influencing the actions and opinions of others.
Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills.
