Responsibilities

Lead the expansion of Bottom Line’s core Access and Success programs into new regions in partnership with the CEO and VP, Regional Growth
Expand Bottom Line’s regional footprint to 7-10 regions by 2030, leveraging growth plans designed in partnership with strategic advisors, funders, and local stakeholders.
Identify and cultivate potential partners and funders interested in bringing Bottom Line’s core Access and Success programs to new cities and communities.
Leverage data about potential communities, including students, funders, institutions of higher education, etc. to inform and make decisions about where and how Bottom Line should pursue growth.
Build Bottom Line’s reputation and visibility externally in partnership with the CEO and Senior Director, Marketing & Communications
Develop, execute, and lead the organization towards Bottom Line’s External Affairs strategic plan that furthers our mission and elevates the stories of students, alumni, staff, and other key stakeholders.
Plan strategic communications to enhance Bottom Line's reputation, increase its visibility with key stakeholders, and advance organizational goals, in partnership with regional leadership.
Champion and steward the Bottom Line brand across our regions through communications and marketing, as well as the overall donor experience, promoting organization-wide education and adoption of standards, key messages, tools, and resources.
Drive positive reputation and increased visibility across earned and owned media, with a focus on effective storytelling and content development, media outreach, and development of opportunities to showcase Bottom Line's leadership in the sector of college access and success.
Own and oversee the management of Bottom Line’s owned media channels (e.g., website, social channels, etc.).
Grow Bottom Line’s partnerships and fee-for-service workstreams
Develop, implement, and execute business development strategies that increase the number of participants in Learning Labs and Bluprint.
Design and gain buy-in for a vision for how these programs complement Bottom Line’s core models and build a portfolio of services for students.
Collaborate closely with the Chief Impact Officer to iterate and design sales approaches based on the latest evolutions of Bottom Line’s offerings.
Lead the National fundraising function for Bottom Line, in close coordination with the CEO and Managing Director, National Development
Develop, implement and hold others accountable to the strategic organizational initiatives to meet revenue goals, cultivate new prospects, maintain strong relationships with current donors, and increase overall funding; continuously monitor and refine these initiatives, as needed.
Collaborate with the CEO and MDD to plan, lead, and implement national fundraising efforts and donor portfolio management strategies as well as coordinate multi-site funding opportunities. Ensure Bottom Line's national team raises $5M annually with goals to get to $10M, in addition to regional fundraising.
Work closely with the CEO, to develop and manage the Board of Directors engagement strategies, including recruitment, onboard and offboarding, professional learning, and providing support for Board fundraising opportunities.

Required

Bachelor’s degree and work authorization, Master's in Business Administration or related advanced study preferred
A minimum of ten years of leadership experience in a nonprofit, government, or philanthropy, overseeing programs, development, and culture at an organization serving students from first-generation and low-income backgrounds
A deep understanding of the role of a business development function, especially go-to-market strategies.
Expertise in coaching others to lead change management and see it as critical to your success.
Experience designing strategic and business plans with the proven ability to develop and manage business plans, processes and controls to enhance efficacy and mitigate risk
A desire to embrace and understand the value of engaging with leaders and staff-members at various levels, as well as work within leadership groups as a champion of our regions.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and compile complex data for planning and reporting purposes.
Excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
Be a culture Influencer, with the ability to orchestrate shared values across staff, students, partners and the broader community.

Preferred

An understanding of the education not-for-profit sector, including donor relations and management.
Experience leading the Program or Development functions in a national multi-site non-profit organization.
