Responsibilities
Serving as an engineering specialist in the preparation and review of designs, layouts, estimates, and reports for hydraulic/hydrologic aspects of civil works projects.
Developing scopes of work for hydraulic/hydrologic studies and participating in the development of analyses for flood risk management projects.
Preparing hydraulic/hydrologic input for projects and analyzing engineering data for related reports.
Consulting with project managers to determine project requirements and providing coordination with civil works groups.
Resolving technical issues, providing recommendations, and preparing reservoir regulations and maintenance manuals.

Required
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
Professional registration or licensure as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico
Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences
One year of specialized experience assisting in developing engineering design plans and specifications for civil works engineering projects for flood control, coastal, navigation, or ecosystem restoration, and assisting in developing hydrologic, hydraulic, and/or hydrodynamic models for engineering studies, investigations, or designs
Valid, state-issued motor vehicle driver's license
Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 10 lbs. in varying weather conditions and austere conditions
