Responsibilities
Assist with reviewing civil engineering plans for various land development projects.
Act as a liaison with consultants and external engineers.
Coordinate with external agencies and contribute to updates of city ordinances and design standards.
Perform site inspections during construction projects.
Provide technical direction and support to department personnel and represent the Engineering Department at meetings with developers.
Assist with the preparation and review of legal documents and agreements.
Monitor industry trends and offer recommendations for technical advancements.
Supervise and mentor other team members, and assist with workload planning and citywide strategies.

Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Texas Professional Engineering (PE) License, or the ability to obtain within six (6) months.
Four (4) years Civil Engineering experience in municipal and/or land development engineering; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Seven (7) years Civil Engineering experience in municipal and/or land development engineering; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Ten (10) years Civil Engineering experience in municipal and/or land development engineering; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Thirteen (13) years Civil Engineering experience in municipal and/or land development engineering; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
Must have Class C Texas Driver’s License
