Responsibilities

Perform site civil, water, wastewater, and storm-water engineering and construction assignments for municipal clients.
Direct engineers and technical support staff in the review and preparation of plans and specifications for water, wastewater, and storm-water projects.
Direct the planning and development of Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater projects from planning through construction.
Prepare construction cost estimates, perform construction monitoring, and coordinate field activities.
Review proposed contracts, define major task areas, and ensure work is performed per client's instructions.
Attend client meetings, maintain effective relationships with all departments, and control project quality.
Monitor fees and budgets, report problems, and be actively involved in civic and professional activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
6 or more years’ experience with Municipal Water and/or Wastewater project
Experience in the evaluation, planning, design and construction of one or more of the following projects: Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pump Stations, Water, Sewer, Stormwater and/or Lift Stations
Professional Engineer (PE) Registration in the state of Michigan required, or ability to obtain within 6 months
Strong interpersonal and technical writing skills
Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites, complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements

Preferred

Proficiency with Project Management software
Hydraulic modeling experience
