Responsibilities

Prepare project plans and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office

Collaborate with other disciplines to produce preliminary concepts and drawings

Complete cost estimates and research codes and/or jurisdictional requirements

Develop positive external and internal client relationships and participate in meetings with either internal or external clients to determine project goals

Prepare calculations, technical memorandums, and reports

Be responsible for construction administration including, but not limited to, onsite field observation

Support design teams in partnership with Architects, Engineers, and Business Professionals remotely and across office locations

Visit client sites to perform site verifications and field surveys

Required

A Professional Engineering License in the State of job posting or other states or willing to get it or have valid EIT

5 to 8 years of project experience

Advanced knowledge and skills of AutoCAD Civil 3D, proficient with WaterCAD, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis, ArchGIS, as well as Bluebeam, Outlook, Microsoft Office. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to work with engineering concepts in real-world applications

Ability to work independently as a project engineer on various projects

A proficient technical writer

The ability to take small to medium-sized projects from conception to final design with little input from a senior engineer
