Responsibilities
Set goals for the team members, conduct follow-up meetings, and develop individual performance.
Establish processes and procedures for effective resource utilization and high-quality design packages.
Maintain Lessons learned, ECN process, and Task Management Systems for the Civil Team.
Develop division of responsibilities between Civil Team and other engineering teams.
Lead planning, setup, and monitoring of inter-discipline workflows and coordination of design activities.
Review, comment, and approve work prepared by the team on project documents and drawings.
Conduct regular meetings with international engineering partners for successful design implementation.
Monitor schedules, budgets, and estimates to ensure timely and within budget project completion.
Provide regular status updates to management and collaborate with stakeholders.
Provide technical support to various teams and support product design simplification and standardization.
Ensure compliance with design codes, industry standards, and best practices.
Perform other duties as required.

Required
Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Civil Engineering
Minimum Ten (10) years of technical experience in industrial facility
Minimum four (4) years of management experience, non-managerial roles with clearly demonstrated leadership responsibilities can also be counted
Strong Familiarity with OSHA, AISC, ACI, IBC and ASCE 7 design codes, industry standards and best practices
Familiarity with STAAD (Structural design tool)
Knowledge of database, project management, spreadsheet and word processing software, electronic mail, graphics, technical diagrams, flow charts, PDF editor, etc.
Preferred
Familiarity with GT Strudl and TEKLA
Familiarity with SmartPlant 3D and concepts fundamental to creation of integrated design in a 3D environment and extraction of technical detail
Familiarity with Canadian, Mexican, Brazilian, Peruvian, and other south American Safety, structural, and building codes
Familiarity with Foundation design for large rotating equipment
Dynamic analysis
Foundation settlements and pile design/calculation
Power Plant design experience
Professional Engineering License
Speaking Spanish and/or Japanese is a plus
