Responsibilities
Prepare scale drawings using computer-aided design or drafting systems (CAD) to develop plans for grading, utilities, drainage, stormwater management, sediment and erosion control. Drawings should conform to company standards and/or jurisdiction/client standards.
Prepare documentation, details, drawings, or specifications in accordance with company standards and jurisdictional standards.
Prepare information regarding schedules and take off quantities.
Perform research of relevant codes and gather site-specific data from online resources such as zoning, soils data, environmental information, real property data, and any other available.
Observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources.
Meet with the project team to review or discuss architectural/engineering drawings.
Coordinate with Sr. Designers/Project Managers on daily work assignments and work schedules.
Attend industry functions and obtain continuing education credits to maintain a professional license.
Collaborate with Project Managers to develop budgets, proposals, and project schedules.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, required
PE required
4+ years of experience in design work including the preparation of feasibility studies, quantity take offs, and site engineering related construction plans
Experience with public and private sector clients
Civil engineering: 2 years (Required)
Ability to Commute to Baltimore, MD
Preferred
CADD experience preferred
