Responsibilities

Complete operational analysis, corridor studies, traffic studies, innovative intersection implementation, traffic calming, and safety analysis;
Bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal feasibility, analysis, design, and implementation;
Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems;
Perform research and writes objective summary reports which are used in the completion of the project work;
Assist in the preparation of engineering planning schedules and cost estimates;
Complete field observation, inspection, and data collection duties;
Communicate with client staff and internal design team; and
Communicate results/recommendations to the general public.

Required

A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
Ideal candidates would have between two and six years of experience in Transportation / Traffic Engineering and Planning
Synchro/SIDRA/HCS proficiency is essential
Knowledge of Traffic Analyses, Planning Studies, Traffic Safety, Traffic Forecasting, Traffic Signal Design, ITS Design, and/or Traffic Signal Timing is
Bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal project experience
Basic CAD and/or GIS knowledge
Experience working with DOT and/or localities
PE/EIT
