Responsibilities

Intake projects as written by Elkmont Estimates’ estimators into the Company’s file tracking system and update notes regularly. Update the file tracker as necessary with communications notes, updates, and other pertinent information.
Confidently discuss the estimated scope of work with the assigned adjuster with the goal of closing the claim for as close to the estimated scope as possible for our client.
Discussing details of adjuster discussions with our Clients as necessary to receive their approvals as necessary.
Be the administrator of any legal notices, liens, or other escalation activities necessary.
Use your best judgment and ask clarifying questions as necessary when communicating with adjusters about projects. You may need to communicate with the Elkmont Estimates Owner, General Manager, or Estimators for some clarifying questions.
Help create and update the job process documentation to standardize our process. Technologies may include, but are not limited to Miro.com, Monday.com, Elkmont Client Portal, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
Track projects within our file tracking systems and make updates as required.
Track and respond to Information provided electronically from a variety of different sources based upon the needs of our clients.
Create detailed replies to the adjuster or TPA as required defending the scope of work and/or justifying how the estimate or invoice was created. This may require additional involvement of the Estimator, General Manager, or Owner.
Communicate with clients as necessary via phone, text, or email.
Update and maintain client records and tracking in our project management system.
Provide a timely response to questions from General Manager about projects as assigned.
Schedule and hold monthly calls with all clients as a touchpoint for relationship management and improvement.
Identify new potential clients and contact them in an effort to build new business.
Enroll new clients in our estimating and/or claim closure programs.
Build business to the point where we can hire an additional Claims Closure Specialist.
Log all business development communications in CRM system.

Required

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent qualification
A minimum of 3-years’ experience working directly with adjusters for the purposes of claim and estimate scope discussion and claim closure.
Proven experience in a similar role of Claims Closure Specialist or related experience in the restoration industry to include dealing with adjusters i.e.: negotiating, arguing, holding your ground, using logic to prove your point and justifying mitigation, reconstruction, contents, mold, and fire estimates and invoices.
Functional understanding of the IICRC S500 and S520 Standards.
How to read and interpret an Xactimate estimate.
Know how to use associated line items in Xactimate to increase estimates and invoices and maximize payouts.
Understanding of residential construction methods, standards, and how buildings come apart and assembled.
Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate firmly, authentically, and honestly while being engaging and approachable.
Meticulous and self-motivated individual. Skilled at working independently and exceeding daily expected work output without constant supervision while maintaining focus on team goals and needs.

Preferred

Xactimate certifications
Asbestos abatement experience, even at a high level
Residential roofing experience
Knowledge of IRC building codes
Knowledge of the IICRC S540 Standard
Corporate contacts at restoration franchises
Contacts at independent restoration companies
Sales experience
Ability to bring on additional clients.
