Responsibilities
Manage the process resolution of the claim.
Collaborate with Safety, Health & Environmental (SH&E) Director on the compensability and resolution of claims.
Make recommendations for settlement and/or subrogation based on the facts of the claim.
Participate in legal proceedings, including mediations, as directed by the SH&E Director.
Collaborate Liaise between management, insurance providers, legal counsel and all parties involved in the claim to ensure timely and accurate claims resolution.
Analyze claims data and trends to identify potential areas for improvement and implement preventive measures.
Maintain comprehensive records and documentation of all claims and related activities.
Provide regular reports and updates on claims status, including reserves and costs incurred to the SH&E Director.
Facilitate care for employees who have experienced a workplace injury or illness, including monitoring timely medical care, coordinating follow-up appointments, developing a return-to-work plan, etc.
Manage all aspects of OSHA compliance and reporting, including assessing and categorizing workplace injuries and illnesses, producing and distributing OSHA logs or notices, assisting with OSHA responses, etc.
Follow, promote, and enforce safety policies, practices, and procedures to ensure safe working conditions and behaviors are maintained.
Assist with safety investigations and corrective actions related to safety hazards and/or incidents.

Required
High-school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to use computer hardware and software, mobile devices, and other technology applications.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to establish effective and collaborative working relationships built on trust.
Preferred
Two (2) years of workers' compensation claims management and OSHA recordkeeping.
Other lines of insurance claims management experience are desirable including experience working in a self-insured environment.
