Responsibilities
Meets or exceeds sales goals by assessing current customer needs, strategically identifying Alaska Communications solutions, and closing sales.
Conducts face-to-face visits with customers to develop relationships and expand revenue sources.
This position is expected to spend at least 60% of their work week off-site with customers in face-to-face meetings, and prospecting for new customer acquisition.
Performs account reviews with customers to ensure contracts and account information are up to date and accurate while prospecting for additional sales opportunities.
Prepares sales documentation, activity reports and forecasts, as required.
Receives and works sales leads from customer call center and website through to their closing.
Maintains an ongoing relationship with accounts to ensure positive customer experiences and maximize sales opportunities.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders. Takes initiative to improve processes that will enhance customer satisfaction and/or increase company profitably.
Performs other duties as assigned and completes projects not specified in this job description.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, information technology or other closely related fields. Alternate education and training may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.
Two (2) years of experience in a quota carrying sales environment to include selling products/services to small and medium business customers. Alternate experience and education may be substituted for the requirement on a year for year basis.
Demonstrated proficiency working with the Microsoft Office suite, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred
One (1) year of telecommunications or information technology experience.
