Responsibilities
Maximize profits and client retention rates
Provide excellent customer service and identify/implement landfill diversion, cost-savings, and efficiency projects
Maintain and build professional relationships with external site contacts based on trust and respect
Serve as a point of escalation for urgent service issues
Identify and implement creative solutions for waste and recycling programs, projects include cost-savings and diversion opportunities
Manage your own workload and identify your own projects to hit Northstar performance objectives
Analyze historic data to offer recommendations on waste program improvements
Analysis to optimize service and surpass client expectations
Strategically price commodities, provide trainings to clients on best recycling practices, and coordinate installation and removal of waste and recycling equipment
Take bottom line responsibility identifying, managing, and implementing cost savings, gross profit, and landfill diversion project
Conduct on-site and phone waste audits with manufacturing and Distribution Center (DC) sites

Required
Bachelor’s Degree OR 2 years of professional experience in the waste and recycling industry
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Travel throughout North America 1 – 3 times per quarter as needed to complete on-site visits with our clients at their recycling plants
Strong decision-making skills and high level of attention to detail
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record as a condition of employment
