Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with engineering teams to implement optimal cloud-based solutions for US Health care Client.

Define and document best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.

Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions aligning with business requirements and IT strategy.

Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale while maintaining code quality and thoughtful design.

Guide and coach junior engineers in the Cloud Engineering space.

Provide technical leadership in deploying and managing cloud solutions.

Design and maintain Cloud provisioning templates and CI/CD pipelines.

Develop and deploy Cloud applications, including data processing and statistical modeling.

Participate in all aspects of the SDLC for Cloud solutions.

Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix problems, and implement preventive measures.

Educate teams on new cloud-based initiatives and provide training when necessary.

Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills and develop supporting documentation for automated processes.

Coordinate training and information sharing meetings with the Cloud Engineering team.

Support Production deployments during major release activities.

Serve as SME in committees related to Cloud Governance and Architecture.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cloud Engineering or DevOps role with knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.

Demonstrated experience in leading large projects or small teams

Strong leadership including ability to influence others, work independently and exercise appropriate judgment in decision making

Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject matter experts

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, and the other departments within IT.

Respect for change management, environmental integrity, and process workflow within a relatively new and rapidly maturing organization.

Strong analytical and technical ability including strength in general issue troubleshooting

Understanding of and experience with the five pillars of a well-architected framework

Ability to quickly learn US Health care Client specific processes, topology, tools often with limited documentation

Technical experience with the following: OS Level Administration (Linux, Windows), IaC Provisioning Tools (Terraform, ARM, Ansible, CloudFormation), Software development lifecycle principles, Build Orchestration Tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.)

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript.

Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.

Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD tools like CloudBees/Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
