Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert in AWS services, design patterns, and Well-Architected best practices.
Work with engineers to create and/or refine infrastructure designs in alignment with internal and regulatory standards.
Publish reference architectures and maintain infrastructure diagrams.
Provide cost estimates for new implementations and periodically perform cost optimization reviews on existing infrastructure footprint.
Cultivate relationships with Engineering leaders and teams to build trust and maintain open, proactive communication across the organization.

Required
5 years of hands on experience with AWS services and best practices
Demonstrated experience designing complex cloud infrastructure at scale
Strong experience and extensive knowledge of key cloud computing constructs, patterns, and architectures
Strong understanding of security best practices for AWS infrastructure and web services
Strong understanding of AWS cloud cost models and a history of practical cost optimization accomplishments
Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code technologies and pipelines
TCP/IP networking and VPC constructs
Familiarity with modern CI/CD patterns and containerization technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to create clear and detailed design documents and diagrams
Preferred
AWS certification at Associate level or higher preferred
Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure is desirable
Previous experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industries preferred
