Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and configure Red Hat OpenStack cloud environments, including compute resources, storage, and networking.

Manage the day-to-day operations of the OpenStack cloud, ensuring its stability, performance, and optimal resource utilization.

Perform ongoing monitoring of the cloud infrastructure, proactively identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maintain uptime and performance.

Implement and maintain security best practices for the OpenStack cloud environment, including access control and vulnerability management.

Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools to improve efficiency and maintainability.

Stay up-to-date on the latest Red Hat OpenStack features and best practices.

Collaborate with internal teams to understand their cloud needs and provide technical guidance and support.

Document procedures and processes to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain consistent operations.

Required

Proven experience in deploying, configuring, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions, preferably with Red Hat OpenStack.

Strong understanding of Linux administration and cloud computing concepts.

Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation purposes.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

A valid Red Hat Certified System Administrator in Red Hat OpenStack (RHCSA) certification is a plus.
