Responsibilities
Provide thought leadership towards a foundational strategic vision for OMF DevOps platform to align on direction with internal teams and executive leadership
Design and implement complex AWS architectures for high availability, resilience, and scalability.
Lead the migration of legacy systems to AWS, ensuring a seamless and risk-free transition.
Optimize cloud resources for improved performance and cost efficiency, utilizing tools like AWS Cost Explorer and Trusted Advisor.
Architect solutions that comply with industry-specific regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2).
Implement and manage security tools and practices, including IAM policies, security groups, and encryption technologies to safeguard the infrastructure.
Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
Automate the deployment, scaling, and management of applications using AWS services like Elastic Beanstalk, Auto Scaling, and Lambda.
Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud resources using AWS CloudWatch and other performance tools.
Ensure business continuity through robust disaster recovery strategies and operational resilience.
Act as a cloud evangelist within the organization, promoting the benefits of AWS solutions.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to align cloud architecture with organizational goals.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior architects and engineers.

Required
Hands-on, demonstrable experience delivering technical solutions in the AWS space with a minimum of 5 years' experience as an AWS Architect.
Proven track record of designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
Experience documenting governance and workflows associated with cloud environments.
Expert knowledge of AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Route 53, Lambda, and IAM.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Kubernetis, ECS).
Deep understanding of network architectures and data services for cloud environments.
Experience with enterprise migrations from on-prem equipment to cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
Strong communication and leadership qualities, capable of driving cloud initiatives and influencing decision-making processes.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified Security - Specialty a strong plus.
