Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and manage junior engineering and support staff in day-to-day department operations.
Conduct and manage construction materials testing projects including report preparation and review.
Conducting and supervising construction materials testing per the applicable standard (ASTM, ASHTO, DOT, ACI, etc.)
Develop and perform CMT and IBC Special Inspections scope of service per project requirements.
Develop and follow project budgets and schedules.
Be proficient in reading and developing construction plans and specifications.
Manage and review laboratory analysis of soil and construction material samples.

Required
Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in civil, construction or geotechnical engineering.
PE license in Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida or ability to obtain state licensure within three months of employment is required.
Candidate must have a minimum 7 years of experience in CMT and IBC Special Inspections.
Physical activities including walking through uneven difficult terrain, long spans of standing and ability to lift 50 lbs.
Up to 30% overnight travel should be anticipated.
Preferred
Candidates with strong communication skills (written and oral), demonstrated managerial and project management experience, and ability to develop positive client relationships are preferred.
